Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 7, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how MotoGuru Holdings LLC ("Motoguru", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile applications (the "App"), our website at motoguru.com (the "Site"), and any related services (collectively, the "Service").

Plain-English summary: We collect the data we need to make Motoguru work — your location when you're using navigation, your account info, what bikes you have, what routes you save. We don't sell it. We don't use it for advertising. We share it with service providers (like our maps and SMS vendors) only when needed to make a feature work.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Information you provide

1.2 Information collected automatically

1.3 Information from third parties

If you sign in with Apple, Google, or another identity provider, we receive your name and email address from that provider. We don't receive your password.

2. How we use information

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:

4. Your choices and rights

4.1 Access, correction, deletion

You can view, update, or delete most of your information directly within the App. To delete your entire account, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account, or email us at support@motoguru.com. Account deletion is irreversible and takes effect within 30 days.

4.2 Location permissions

You can disable location services in your device settings at any time. Doing so will disable navigation, group rides, SOS, and weather features.

4.3 Marketing communications

We send transactional emails (receipts, password resets, security alerts) that you cannot opt out of while your account is active. We send occasional product emails that you can opt out of by clicking "unsubscribe" in any message.

4.4 California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and other US state rights

Residents of these states have additional rights, including the right to know what personal information we hold about you, the right to delete it, the right to correct it, and the right to opt out of "sales" (we do not sell). To exercise these rights, email support@motoguru.com.

4.5 European and UK residents (GDPR / UK GDPR)

You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection to processing. Our lawful basis for processing is your consent (for location and marketing) and contract performance (for the rest of the Service). Email support@motoguru.com to exercise any right.

5. Data retention

We retain account information for as long as your account is active. After account deletion, we retain a minimal record of the account (your email and the deletion date) for 7 years to satisfy tax and audit obligations, and we delete everything else within 30 days.

6. Security

We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). Passwords are stored as salted hashes (bcrypt). We restrict employee access to personal data on a need-to-know basis. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's privacy

Motoguru is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it. Parents who believe their child has provided us information should contact support@motoguru.com.

8. International transfers

Motoguru is based in the United States. If you use the Service from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US, which may have data-protection laws different from your country.

9. Changes to this Policy

We will post any changes to this Privacy Policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date at the top. If the changes are material, we will notify you in the App and by email at least 30 days before they take effect.
