Frequently asked

How do I cancel my Pro subscription?

Pro subscriptions are billed by Apple (iOS) or Google (Android), so you cancel through your device's subscription settings. On iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Motoguru → Cancel. On Android: Play Store → menu → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Motoguru → Cancel. Your Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period.

Why does Motoguru ask for my location?

Location is required for navigation, group ride tracking, weather alerts on your route, SOS, and nearby points-of-interest. We don't track your location when those features aren't active, and we never sell location data. See our Privacy Policy for full detail.

Does Motoguru work offline?

Browsing curated routes works offline once you've opened the app online at least once. Pro subscribers can download specific routes for fully offline navigation, including the map tiles around the route corridor. Live features (group rides, weather alerts, SOS) require a connection.

How does SOS actually work?

Tap and hold the SOS button for three seconds. The app then sends an SMS to every emergency contact you've marked "notify on SOS" — the message contains your name, the time, and a link to a live map of your location that updates for the next 60 minutes. Release the button before the countdown ends to cancel. SOS is a supplement to calling 911, not a replacement.

Can I use Motoguru for group rides with non-Motoguru riders?

Group rides require all participants to have the app and the leader's invite code. We considered a "send-a-link" option for non-app users, but it would mean sharing GPS data with people who haven't agreed to our Privacy Policy. For now, ask your group to download the free version first.

How many bikes can I add to my garage?

Free accounts can add one bike. Pro accounts have no limit. Your maintenance log carries over if you upgrade.

I created a route but it's not showing up for other riders.

User-created routes are private by default. To share, open the route in "My Routes" and tap "Publish". Published routes appear in your friends' feeds and may, if the route is rated highly, be promoted to the broader Motoguru community.

How accurate is the weather data?

We use the US National Weather Service for alerts (the same source the news uses) and Tomorrow.io for route-specific forecasts. Weather changes fast — treat the in-app forecast as a heads-up, not a guarantee, and always check official sources before a long ride.

I found a bug. How do I report it?

Email support@motoguru.com with a screenshot or screen recording if you have one, the device and OS version (Settings → About on iOS; Settings → About phone on Android), and a description of what you were doing when it happened.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: Profile → Settings → Account → Delete Account. Or email support@motoguru.com from the address on your account. Deletion takes effect within 30 days and is irreversible.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are processed by Apple and Google — Motoguru doesn't have access to your payment information. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com for iOS, or via the order on Play Store for Android.

I'm a dealer or shop. How do I get listed?

Visit our dealer plans page or email help@motoguru.com. We'll get you set up with a verified listing, route placement, and analytics within a week.
